Budgewoi Dental

At what age should a child have their first dental appointment?

The Australian Dental Association recommends that children see the dentist for the first time when they sprout their first tooth or when they reach one year of age, whichever comes first.

At Budgewoi Dental, we love seeing your children as early as possible because it allows us to develop a good relationship with your child at a young age, which is beneficial for both your child and our dental team. With early visits, we can keep an eye on your child’s oral health as they grow and develop, intervening when necessary to help them create excellent oral health.

We can also provide the education on oral hygiene that your child needs to keep their teeth and gums healthy and strong between dental visits. And, of course, we’re here to answer any questions you have as a parent.

Children’s Dentistry in Budgewoi

We encourage the young patients who visit our clinic to pursue outstanding oral health and to continue coming to see us with our Bravery Award, which includes a small gift for children. This award helps motivate your little ones by celebrating their achievements in oral health.

We make your child’s dental visits as pain-free and pleasant as possible with a gentle touch, friendly care and entertainment options, like Netflix. When necessary, we also provide other pain- and anxiety-relieving methods, like the analgesic Penthrox and sedation dentistry.
